I believe very strongly that one of the most prominent problems
affecting business in America is hyper-regulation from the government.
Of course, without showing ways in which regulations unnecessarily
increase business costs, it’s just rhetoric. But there are very tangible
examples, and one of them has been very prominently featured in the
news recently.
Our lives are all made up of countless facets that combine in unique
ways to make us, us. Society is no different. The economy isn’t a single
machine; it’s the sum of millions of people making billions of
decisions every day. Whenever someone presents a single-step solution,
we should be very skeptical, because there is no silver bullet that will
fix any problem.
Technological breakthroughs have a way of completely upending the way
we live—and that includes the business world, too. The most successful
businesses of the next century—and the fastest growing sectors—won’t be
the same as the ones from the past century. Instead, the most successful
entrepreneurs will be those who identify changes and come up with great
new ideas that take advantage of those shifts.
